Golden Gate District is part of the Golden Gate Area Council for the Boy Scouts of America (BSA), specifically representing all BSA scout programs (Cubs, Scouts, Sea Scouts, Exploring, and Venturing) in San Francisco and the northern portion of Daly City.

Friends of Scouting
Friends of Scouting is the fundraising program for scouts in the Golden Gate District. Our District's Friends of Scouting goal for 2023 is $25,000. Our hope is that:
Each unit participates in the program, including featuring a Friends of Scouting presentation at one of your unit meetings
Every member of the District Operating Committee makes a pledge
We maximize use of the Council's and individual business's matching funds
